I’ve been training and going to the gym for about 4 years which has changed my life. When I first started I was nearing 18 stone and lived a massively unhealthy lifestyle of constant junk food and little or no activity through the day.
When I first started I went massively down the “bro” route.
Chicken, broccoli and brown rice were my meals and although it worked it was terrible, I went too far down the weight loss route hitting 9 stone at my lightest and a social life that was down the pan because macros took over my life.
“If I couldn’t track it exactly what it was I was eating, I couldn’t eat it.”
Late last year I started getting back into social media a bit more, Instagram, Facebook etc. I started to see IIFYM and flexible dieting creeping up a lot. I spent about 5 months deliberating whether I should try it and after to chatting to a few guy i started in September last year 2016.
Near enough immediately things in my life started to improve.
It took a while to essentially train my mind into accepting I could eat the things I was eating but as soon as I started to trust the process I saw improvements in the gym, in my personality, socially, educationally and at work which made me started posting in January 2017.
My aim even though I mostly post food pictures is to:
- Let people see what I eat
- Highlight that you can enjoy life whilst dieting
- Show people that fitness and diet doesn’t have to be boring and that IIFYM if done properly does not affect your fitness goals
The vision for my page is to try and show as many people as possible that you can achieve your fitness goals in a sustainable way which doesn’t, like most things with fitness, isolate you from the rest of the world.
